NEED OUR HELP?

You are going to have to forgive me, but I’d like you to take a moment and read this before you contact ANYONE.

When selecting someone to come into your home or establishment. There are important things you should know and ask.

1. How long has this person or group been investigating haunted locale?
2. How old are the people doing the investigations?
3. Is there a fee for investigations?
4. Look at their website, is it professional? Are there many places they investigated? Are their pictures and evidence "dubious"?
5. Look at their "qualifications" what does it say?
6. Do they have member profiles? Do they share their viewpoints or theories?
7. Do they claim to be "experts"?
8. Do they help and support their community?
9. Are they going to be there for you in the long run?
10. Are they going to help you even if they seem ill equipped to handle your case?

Honestly, we are very weary with most Paranormal or Ghost Hunting Groups. That’s why we don’t link with any other group unless we have worked with them. Since there has been so much attention put on the Paranormal in the last few years, many of these groups have popped up and declared themselves "Ghost Hunters" after watching a few episodes of reality based ghost hunting shows on television. Many of these groups are teens or people barely out their teens. They have no standard sets of protocols; they have a tendency to deem everything "paranormal". Many of these groups charge you for investigations. We do not, because we do this for research and to help. Let’s be honest, how can anyone charge for investigations when there is no definite proof ghosts exists. I also urge you to look at their sites. Is it professional? Do they restrict membership? Do they have convincing evidence? Do they have accolades? Again, there is a reason why most of these groups have none of these, because they don’t set their standards high or base their investigations on acceptable research methods. I invite you to look at their "qualifications". Don’t buy their fake credentials. They may claim they are "Certified" as a "Paranormal Investigator", "Ghost Hunter" , "EVP Specialist" or (my favorite) "Grief Counselor". The fact is these people paid very good money to take a "home study" course by a self-proclaimed "Parapsychologist" who purchased his PhD title online. None of these "investigators" took legitimate classes or earned their degrees from an accredited University, because there are only 1 or 2 in the world that offer it, they got taken by someone who handed them a piece of paper and deemed them a "ghost hunter".

Many of these groups in New York are actually cast-offs from Central New York Ghost Hunters who left us or were dismissed because they didn’t fit our group. We found them to be difficult, have more imagination than common sense and believed every photo, or experience was paranormal in nature. We believe that capturing convincing evidence is rare.

The study of the Paranormal is the study of the unknown. No one has any answer. So my question to you is, how can anyone be certified or hold a degree in the unknown. That’s the reason why it is the unknown. So why did these people pay good money to a shyster, when they could have learned from experience and studied on their own.

Central New York Ghost Hunters and Paranormal Investigations are comprised of over 40 members. Statistically 37.5% hold at least a 4-year degree from a legitimate accredited University. We don’t encourage our members to take any person’s or groups "home study" course. We learn from theory and legitimate research.

I urge you to really take a look at the people you invite into your lives. This goes for paranormal investigators, psychics etc…they can tell you what ever you want, but again I ask you, what does it mean? They can tell you anything, it doesn’t mean it’s real.

I know you still have questions, so I encourage you to call me. I will never tell you I have all the answers, because no one does. But even if you chose another group or person, I will always try to steer you the right way and get you the help you need.

Happy H(a)unting!
